To create “The Majestic Mystical” (name of piece) I decided to use Washington DC as my location. In my mind set it was the perfect place for an aboriginal dot painting to be born. This preferred place being historically the place to go and a dream vacation spot.

A complex painting like “The Majestic Mystical”, needed fewer tools than you might think. This aboriginal painting was created using a wooden dowel, end tip of a foam brush, and two different sized paint brushes.

One problem faces while making was Kimmy’s (person sitting by me) brush strokes got too big ( and too close to my painting). I bet you can do the math.!. A total disaster. Although with quick thinking I came up with a solution to cover it up. I must say though the worst problem was when the ‘puffy paint’ FARTED on mypretty base color. Soon the answer came I would have to weave it into my painting. Making my mistakes a thing of beauty not a mistake so in a sense it was never there at all.

I am happy with my piece of art work. When I see it a sense of pride washes over me the utmost best feeling. A feeling of self worth knowing I could send something like that, with so much merit to make someone smile at the translucent, bright, happy colors. It is a feeling that an artist gets when he/she completes a piece to make someone smile and gaze with the thoughtful wondering eye. That is why I like my painting… it radiates the power of completion, wonder, and mystery for the enthused eye.!.
